Our mission

Construct the data and financial infrastructure to transform insurance risk as an asset class.

We're obsessed with data, technology, and markets.

Cracking transparency and liquidity in insurance is a trillion dollar problem. We think that the answer is at the intersection of AI, market design, financial technology, and unstructured data. Lots of it.

From streaming data and modern analytics to mechanisms for syndication and trading, we are constructing the necessary conditions for connecting capital with risk, thereby multiplying the universe of securitized risks and the set of institutional investors willing to engage with it.

To start, we’re developing an industry-leading federated learning platform, leveraging the latest in modeling, optimization, and experimentation to transform expansive claims- and underwriting-relevant data into actionable financial predictions and structures. Combining this platform with our novel digital assets solution will empower partners at the risk-capital nexus to securitize specialty and casualty insurance risk.

Meet the team

Our team has earned PhDs from Stanford, built investment strategies at Citadel and DE Shaw, developed a federated learning software for genetics labs, and developed novel financial infrastructure at Stripe and Mercado Libre.

Anirudha, CEO

Anirudha got his PhD in economics at Stanford GSB on the design and regulation of insurance markets. Before that, he worked at DE Shaw, where he traded commodities and helped initiate the firm's alt-data effort, and built Whoop's first algorithms.

Armin, CTO

Armin worked as a quantitative researcher at Citadel, creating high-throughput systematic strategies in equities and futures. Previously, he got a PhD in physics at Stanford on private decentralized data analysis and the denoising of network data. As part of his research he built a widely-used software for federated learning in genetics.

Adam has been building systems to handle complex problems in fintech for over a decade. Recently he has used machine learning to manage risk at Stripe and help people understand their finances at Rocket Money.

Serafin has spent the past decade focused on data and fintech, as a machine learning engineer, data engineer, and tech lead. He has built infrastructure at Mercado Libre and tackled problems in crypto and encrypted file-sharing at startups.

Grace has led multiple US and global claim organizations as Chief Claims Officer including Hippo, Hiscox, Homesite, Allied World Assurance, and AIG's Starr Excess. Her application of data analytics to optimize claims operations has resulted in industry leading costs per claim.

Peter has spent four decades designing and building companies in the traditional and alternative risk-taking sectors, with a focus on construction, commercial transportation, medical benefits, and professional liability. He has also worked extensively on legacy and M&A transactions.
